The global spa and wellness sector’s latest award recipients have been announced through the World Spa Awards 2026, with honours covering hotel and resort spas, wellness retreats, brands, treatments, design and new openings worldwide.

Now in its twelfth year, World Spa Awards recognises organisations, brands and experiences operating across the international spa and wellness industry.

Among the headline World Spa Awards 2026 results, Guerlain Wellness Spa at Waldorf Astoria New York was named ‘World’s Best Hotel Spa’, while Lefay SPA World at Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti in Italy received the ‘World’s Best Resort Spa’ title.

Palazzo Fiuggi retained its title as ‘World’s Best Wellness Retreat’, while WORLD SPA, New York was named ‘World’s Best Day Spa’.

Global spa and wellness brands recognised

In the brand categories, Natura Bissé received the ‘World’s Best Spa Brand’ title, while Aromatherapy Associates was recognised as ‘World’s Best Aromatherapy Brand’.

Sense, A Rosewood Spa received the ‘World’s Best Hotel Spa Brand’ title for the first time, while Six Senses reclaimed ‘World’s Best Wellness Retreat Brand’ for the third time.

The World Spa Awards 2026 also included categories focused on newly opened properties. Guerlain Wellness Spa at Waldorf Astoria New York was named ‘World’s Best New Hotel Spa’ following its transformation.

The spa covers 22,000 square feet and is described as the world’s largest Guerlain spa, combining the heritage of Guerlain and Waldorf Astoria with a contemporary focus on wellbeing.

Asaya Spa at Rosewood Mandarina in Mexico was named ‘World’s Best New Resort Spa’, while Six Senses London received the ‘World’s Best New Wellness Retreat’ title.

Winners span resorts, aviation and cruise wellness

Further awards reflected the range of spa and wellness experiences represented in the programme. Guerlain Spa at One&Only Aesthesis in Greece was named ‘World’s Best City Resort Spa’.

Ibu Ketut Mursi – Intuitive Blind Healer at Mandapa Spa at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Indonesia received the ‘World’s Best Spa Signature Treatment’ title.

Beyond traditional hotel and resort spa settings, Air France by Sisley was recognised as ‘World’s Best Airline Lounge Spa’, while Ocean Wellness at Explora Journeys was named ‘World’s Best Cruise Spa’.

In the design category, The Spa at Desert Rock in Saudi Arabia received the ‘World’s Best Spa Design’ award, recognising the architecture and design of the wellness space.

The World Spa Awards 2026 results span hotel, resort, destination, aviation and cruise settings, alongside global spa and wellness brands and specialist treatment categories.
