Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the resort has bagged 6 prestigious awards which reflect the resort’s undeterred emphasis on providing the best hospitality to all its visitors and guests. For Banana Island Resort Doha, the year 2020 was no different when the global hospitality sector had been reeling under the dark clouds; however, the resort stood the test and has set an example for others to follow.In the latest category of awards, the resort has won Conde Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence 2021 – Best for Families. The resort was awarded as well the Luxury Private Island Spa 2020 global title by the World Luxury Spa Awards, which is known as the pinnacle of achievement in the luxury spa industry offering international recognition as voted for by guests, travelers and industry players alike. These citations lay emphasis on the resort’s exceptional efforts in bringing to the people a truly world-class spa facility. 

Banana Island Resort Doha was chosen as Qatar’s Leading Villa Resort 2020 and Qatar’s Leading Luxury Hotel Villa 2020 (Three-Bedroom Overwater Villa) by the World Travel Awards. This award-giving body celebrates excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry.

In the 2020 Condé Nast Traveller US and UK Readers’ Choice Awards, Banana Island Resort Doha grabbed 5th position in the Best Resorts of the Middle East.
