World Spa Awards – the global initiative to celebrate and reward excellence in the spa and wellness sector – has announced the winners of its 2021 programme.

Three Greek hotels are among the winners of the 7th World Spa Awards 2021, the global initiative that celebrates and rewards excellence in the spa and wellness sector.

The announcement follows a year-long search for the world’s top spa and wellness brands. Votes were cast by industry professionals, the media and the general public.

“Our industry is enjoying a significant increase in bookings, driven by guests seeking out authentic wellness experiences to match their lifestyle choices. Our World Spa Awards 2021 winners represent the brands breaking new ground through innovation and their incredible drive to do things better. My congratulations to each of them,” Rebecca Cohen, Managing Director, World Spa Awards, said.

GB Spa – Hotel Grande Bretagne

The GB spa invites guests to embark on a journey of rejuvenation and relaxation with a wide range of spa treatments and an extensive spectrum of health and beauty therapies performed by professional spa experts.

Santorini Maris Oia Luxury Spa

Santorini’s Santo Maris Oia Luxury Spa has been announced Greece’s Best Resort Spa for 2021.

Crete’s Elounda Beach Hotel & Villas has been named Greece’s Best Wellness Retreat 2021.

Located in the premises of Santo Maris Oia Luxury Suites & Spa, it is one of Santorini’s largest and most prestigious spas, offering guests a haven of serenity and revival.

From sophisticated beauty therapies to Cretan massages and private yoga classes, the hotel’s certified therapists and trainers are ready to share their wisdom and knowledge with the resort’s guests.

Launched in 2015 as the sister event to World Travel Awards, World Spa Awards aims to drive up standards in spa and wellness tourism and foster growth by rewarding the leading organisations in their respective fields.

Elounda Beach Hotel & Villas

Crete’s Elounda Beach Hotel & Villas has been named Greece’s Best Wellness Retreat 2021.

The hotel has adopted a multidisciplinary therapeutic approach to its method of work, known as the Chenot Method.

Its Espace Vitalité Chenot Crete offers guests a variety of well-being and vitality programs, beauty treatments, fitness and wellness facilities to help them relax, restore and rejuvenate, all according to the principles of Biontology.
