World Spa Awards has announced its 2026 winners, celebrating excellence across the global spa and wellness industry. Now in its twelfth year, the awards programme recognises the outstanding spas, wellness retreats, brands and experiences setting the benchmark for excellence in a rapidly evolving sector.

Leading this year’s honours, Guerlain Wellness Spa at Waldorf Astoria New York won the coveted title of ‘World’s Best Hotel Spa’. Italy made a strong showing, with Lefay SPA World at Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti named ‘World’s Best Resort Spa’, while Palazzo Fiuggi retained its title as ‘World’s Best Wellness Retreat’. WORLD SPA, New York, completed the headline awards by winning ‘World’s Best Day Spa’.

In the global brand categories, Natura Bissé captured the title of ‘World’s Best Spa Brand’, while Aromatherapy Associates was recognised as ‘World’s Best Aromatherapy Brand’. Sense, A Rosewood Spa, earned the title of ‘World’s Best Hotel Spa Brand’ for the first time. Six Senses reclaimed ‘World’s Best Wellness Retreat Brand’ for the third time.

In the new-opening categories, Guerlain Wellness Spa at Waldorf Astoria New York was crowned ‘World’s Best New Hotel Spa’, following its highly anticipated transformation. The world’s largest Guerlain spa, spanning 22,000 square feet, brings together the heritage of two iconic luxury names with a contemporary focus on wellbeing. Asaya Spa at Rosewood Mandarina, Mexico, impressed voters to secure ‘World’s Best New Resort Spa’, while Six Senses London earned the title of ‘World’s Best New Wellness Retreat’.

Further highlights from this year’s awards reflect the extraordinary diversity and evolution of the global spa and wellness landscape. Guerlain Spa at One&Only Aesthesis, Greece, was named ‘World’s Best City Resort Spa’, while Ibu Ketut Mursi – Intuitive Blind Healer at Mandapa Spa at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Indonesia, received the coveted title of ‘World’s Best Spa Signature Treatment’.

Extending beyond the traditional spa environment, Air France by Sisley was recognised as ‘World’s Best Airline Lounge Spa’, while Ocean Wellness at Explora Journeys was voted ‘World’s Best Cruise Spa’. In a celebration of exceptional design and architecture, The Spa at Desert Rock, Saudi Arabia, was awarded ‘World’s Best Spa Design’, highlighting the increasingly sophisticated and immersive spaces being created to support the global pursuit of wellbeing.
