The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) a parastatal organization, falling under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism. The mandate of the MTPA is to showcase Mauritius as the perfect tourist destination through various international visibility promotional campaigns. Press trips, educational and familiarization tours are regularly organized for Tour Operators and the international press increase awareness about the destination.

The MTPA works in close collaboration with the travel trade and tourism stakeholders to position the destination internationally. In its efforts to elevate its  brand visibility , MTPAs strategy focuses on reaching  and interacting with its various target audience as much as possible through digital platforms.
