The Cairndale Hotel and Spa in Dumfries holds the UK Good Spa Guide’s highest rating, its ‘Five Bubble Luxury Award.’ The 86 bedroom family owned and run hotel in Scotland’s beautiful South West is one of only four in the country to be accredited ‘UK Best Spa’ by the AA. In 2025 it was voted Scotland’s best independent hotel, succeeding Andy Murray’s Cromlix House. 

Opened in 2024, the adults only Spa features a thermal pool with airbeds and water features, Himalayan salt sauna, infrared sauna, aroma and herbal steam rooms, ‘Brass Monkey’ ice bath, dedicated spa café and a wide range of regularly updated treatments.
