Kurhotel Skodsborg is Denmark’s original spa. Founded - first as a sanitorium - by Dr Ottosen in 1898, this 96-room spa hotel is based on simple Nordic wellness traditions and Ottosen’s 125-year-old fundamental principles for a healthy life: light, air, water, nutrition, exercise and rest.

Our spa is an architectural homage to simplicity and light with 16 cooling and warming experiences / facilities including: a 100m² hydrospa with grottos and massage showers, outdoor jacuzzi, infrared heat, soft and hot saunas, salt grotto, steam bath, Spa Rain and a 21m pool.

Kurhotel Skodsborg’s signature experience is SaunaGus – an aromatherapy sauna in which a Gusmester infuses the air with essential oils that - combined with heat - enhance relaxation. Each session ends with a dip off the picturesque jetty into The Sound. Other spa experiences include the bespoke Skodsborg Flow, mesotherapy and cryotherapy treatments, and retreats such as the new Sleep Retreat.
